ABOUT THE AWARD

Lexus Design Award calls upon young creative talent around the world to “Design for a Better Tomorrow”. Since 2013, this international design competition has provided the chance of a lifetime for up-and-coming designers to win the prestigious award for innovative design excellence. Finalists will be funded to build their prototypes with world-class mentors, and reach unparalleled exposure to the global design community and media.

2022 FINALISTS

With over 1,726 entries from 57 countries/regions, all Finalists were selected for their original and inventive solutions which highlight the creative interplay between design and technology. The finalists’ concepts and designs feature a diverse range of innovative craftsmanship techniques, materials and applications.

2022 GRAND PRIX TROPHY

The Grand Prix trophy was designed by Hideki Yoshimoto. Yoshimoto was the winner in the first Lexus Design Award in 2013 and has become a successful designer based in London working with a number of global brands. The trophy design incorporates his engineering background and commitment to takumi craftsmanship.
