ABOUT THE AWARD

LEXUS DESIGN AWARD calls upon young creative talent around the world to “Design for a Better Tomorrow”. Since 2013, this international design competition has provided the chance of a lifetime for up-and-coming designers to win the prestigious award for innovative design excellence. Winners will be funded to build their prototypes with world-class Mentors, and reach unparalleled exposure to the global design community and media.

The 2023 Winners undertook a transformative journey to take their world-changing designs to the next level.

In this four-part series, we invite you to relive their remarkable experience, from being announced as winners, to working with the Mentors to evolve their skills and their designs, and finally to presenting their final designs at Milan Design Week.

From 2,068 entries originating from 63 countries and regions around the world, four Winners were selected for their original and inventive solutions which highlight the creative interplay between design and technology. The Winners have evolved their prototypes significantly through the mentorship process, transforming them from already beautiful ideas to practical, scalable, and ambitious final designs.
