From an early stage in its development, Lexus team members in product technology, engineering and styling united behind a common vision to achieve the proportions of a four-door coupe, with a low center of gravity and aggressive new form characterized by sharpness.

In addition to the slender headlamps, a low center of gravity is expressed through low-positioned areas around the grille, lowered side character lines, and the shape of the trunk. Muscular fenders, straight-line rear combination lamps, and three-dimensional bumper garnishes add to the aggressive look, while the redesigned 19-inch wheels and wide proportions evoke a sense of sporty driving.

The available two-tone color schemes, including the F Sport-exclusive Flare Red, further accentuate the aggressive styling of the IS, while the available chromatic colors used in the upper instrument panel create a sharp, contrasting accent.
