LEXUS ES REDEFINING THE EXECUTIVE SEDAN

REDEFINING THE SEDAN

The all-new eighth-generation ES stands as a forerunner in Lexus’ next-generation electrification lineup, delivering its most refined driving experience across a myriad of scenes and environments.

Elevated quietness and ride comfort effortlessly coexist with ES’ first-ever available BEV powertrain, which, along with the available HEV variant, support Lexus’ pursuit of carbon neutrality through a thoughtful multi-pathway approach.

ES, in its latest, most advanced form, is set to be released worldwide in 2026.

PROVOCATIVE DESIGN

CUTTING-EDGE TECH

TAZUNA TOUCH

A 12.3-inch digital display promotes smooth eye movements and easy identification of key instrumentation and menus. Its design takes inspiration from the Tazuna Concept, a design philosophy which directs a continuous, productive dialogue between driver and vehicle. Its suede covering, together with the cabin’s ambient lighting, strengthens the expression of Tazuna.

RESPONSIVE HIDDEN SWITCHES

Physical switches capable of disappearing into the décor – a World’s First – bring a new level of omotenashi, or anticipatory hospitality, to the ES’ cabin. Located on the steering wheel and instrument panel, the switches embody the Japanese practice through their clean, understated form, keeping advanced technology hidden in the background.

Icons illuminate as a hand approaches, thus offering a new interactive experience where a functional display unifies seamlessly with surface material. Tactile clicks help to prevent accidental inputs from users.

SENSORY CONCIERGE

Through curated programming, interior illumination, music, multimedia video, climate control, and seat massage functions work in unison to catalyze newfound emotional and physical wellbeing for all passengers. Three distinct modes – Inspire, Radiance, and Revitalize – support an immersive sense of calmness and uplift.

A Lexus-first cabin fragrance function works alongside the innovative system, offering five signature fragrances derived from nature.  A fragrance generator, which holds up to three cartridges, disperses scents through a speaker grille located behind the instrument panel. Each fragrance cartridge utilizes a forged bamboo construction, which is comprised of crushed bamboo and resin.

Five Signature Fragrances

TENKO: A warm, woody aromatic scent wrapped in the gentle glow of natural light.
KEIFU: A smoky green fragrance evoking the quiet depth of an ancient forest.
SEIYO: A soft, serene white floral inspired by the warmth of early spring.
HANYA: A mysterious, tender musk that drifts through the stillness of the night.
SHINMEI: A pure citrus scent that signals a fresh beginning at the break of dawn.
MINDFUL COMFORT

OPTIMIZED POSTURE

The front seats’ design promotes superior ergonomics. The driver’s seat facilitates a posture that allows for easier recognition, assessment, and response to the vehicle’s behavior with greater precision.

The seats support the shoulder blades to reduce muscle strain, while the seatback gently cradles the spine, aiding in the maintenance of proper positioning and benefitting a clear dialogue between human and machine.

PRIORITIZED NOISE REDUCTION

The implementation of sound-insulating door glass and sealing components minimizes the intrusion of unwanted external noise. In addition, the thicknesses and placements of sound-absorbing, sound-blocking, and vibration-dampening materials help to create a well-balanced acoustic environment.

EVOLVED DYNAMISM

SOLID FOUNDATION

A new GA-K platform introduces additional structural and body rigidity to the ES’ formula. The enhancements sharpen steering and contribute to smoother, more controlled vehicle movements.

Lighter, stronger, and more accommodating to both hybrid and electric powertrains, the platform allows for the implementation of a multi-link rear suspension that promotes exceptional quietness and ride comfort in accordance with the Lexus Driving Signature.

ADAPTIVE VARIABLE SUSPENSION (AVS)

An advanced linear solenoid system provides outstanding damping force response, achieving an impressive union of precise steering response with refined ride comfort.

DYNAMIC REAR STEERING (DRS)

Rear wheels can be turned up to four degrees – in the opposite direction as the front wheels at low speeds, and in the same direction at higher speeds – to benefit agility, maneuverability, and stability.

REFINED POWERTRAIN RANGE

INLINE FOUR-CYLINDER HYBRID

Available in either front-wheel (2.0-liter) or all-wheel drive (2.5-liter), the available four-cylinder hybrid powertrains offer exceptional quietness, power, and fuel efficiency.

The new 2.5-liter hybrid system features an integrated eAxle which marries the power control unit and transaxle into a single compact unit to reduce weight and improve packaging. The setup delivers an outstanding combination of fluid acceleration and excellent in-cabin calmness.

ALL-ELECTRIC MOTIVATION

Lexus’ advanced electrification expertise flexes in full force with ES’ two all-electric powertrains. The front-wheel drive ES 350e, with a total system output of 165 kW/224.3 PS/221 hp, delivers an estimated single charge range of 685 kilometers on the CLTC testing cycle.

Having an eAxle between each of its wheel sets, the DIRECT4-equipped ES 500e ups the performance and handling stability ante. The sophisticated all-wheel drive force control system finely adjusts torque distribution to all four wheels, regardless of road surface or driving conditions. To boot, the most advanced ES ever possesses an estimated single charge range of 610 kilometers (CLTC testing cycle), a total system output of 252 kW/342.6 PS/338 hp, and is capable of an estimated 5.9 second sprint to 100 km/h from a standstill.

LEXUS SAFETY SYSTEM+

Lexus is developing safety technologies in line with its ultimate wish for a mobile society: Zero fatalities and injuries from traffic accidents. The ES uses the latest Lexus Safety System+ based on the belief that it is important to develop world-class advanced safety technologies faster and adopt them into more vehicles.

The system has been enhanced to recognize objects over a wider field of view and at greater distances, expanding the scenarios in which it can help prevent accidents. Additionally, functional and sensor coverage has been broadened to provide consistent driver assistance even in complex environments such as urban roads.

These improvements contribute to enhanced safety, convenience, and reduced driver workload. In line with these technological upgrades, vehicle-surrounding information is now presented more clearly via the meter display, further supporting safe and confident driving.
