In its highly anticipated debut, the lexus LC team podiumed in more races than any competitor
Meet the new face of Lexus Performance.
Introducing the Lexus LC.
In the highly-anticipated debut of the Lexus LC on a racetrack, Lexus quickly discovered: they got it right first time. In the 2017 Japanese Super GT 500 Series, the #37 KeePer TOM’S Lexus LC500 debut was explosive, taking all top 6 positions. LC teams would not only go on to win 5 of the 8 round series, but they would also take 14 of the 24 podium placements throughout the series, ultimately winning the 2017 AUTOBACS SUPER GT Championship.
Lexus is no stranger to performance motorsports. For the past two decades, racing and performance motorsports has been a pillar of Lexus innovation, design and engineering. Lexus has been a fierce challenger on the racetrack since 1999, with the motorsports debut of the Lexus GS. Since then, Lexus has competed all over the world, from the Fuji Speedway to the Nürburgring, on some of the most prestigious tracks in the sport.
The RC F GT3 is also on international active duty.
Born in Yokohama, raised at Fuji Speedway and tested on race tracks all over the world, the RC F GT3 represents the essence of F Performance which focuses on true driving excitement.
The Lexus F marque set an entirely new standard for unbridled performance on and off the track. First announced in 2006 with the IS F, reimagined in the LFA supercar and even reverberated through the fleet’s F Sport trim and styling, the designation of F became synonymous with race-inspired engines, aggressive handling, signature detailing and next-generation technology. Now, with the commanding debut of the Lexus LC, a new era of Lexus performance has put the motorsports world on notice. And we eagerly await to see where Lexus motorsports goes next.
